No ordinary pie...Blue Bonnet Cafe

This week is Spring Break for my kiddos. A much needed break for them and for us. However, as a WAHM it can be tough to step away from work and plan fun activities for them. You know how it can be made easier?

Pie

Yes, pie makes everything better.

We took a lovely hour drive out to Marble Falls yesterday. We picked wonderful strawberries from Sweet Berry Farms.

Awesome Strawberry Pickers!

After a great time at the farm, we headed into Marble Falls to the very well known, Blue Bonnet Cafe. Now, if you have never heard of this place, get ready!

They are KNOWN for their pie. I mean, you just mention the place online and people get all crazy about telling you which pie you should try.

My kind of people!

The Girl got the Fudge Pie, mmmm
The Boy got the Cherry Pie, double mmmm
I got the Coconut Cream Pie, mmmmmmmm

Then, we got the Chocolate Meringue Pie to go for a dinner party we were attending.
Yep, we were the hit of that party!

The only regret I have? I failed to take 1 single picture of the pies. As a blogger, that is a HUGE, EPIC Fail!

But, trust me, you need to go, and get the pie, any pie. Here are some details you might need to know.

THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS!

They do have an ATM on the premises but don't be caught off guard like me. Bring cash, and plenty of it.

Expect to wait!

They are pretty darn busy, the staff hustles and does it all with a smile. But, bring some electronic devices for your child to play on to reduce whining.

So what is your favorite pie flavor? I have to know!

Enjoy your week and by all means, go eat some pie!

Christina has always dreamed of being a writer, little did she know that in her late thirties she would get the chance. The more she wrote random thoughts and snapshots about life, the more she heard from complete strangers that they could relate to her writings. Basic observations about what was going on in her life resonated with so many.  This is all she needed to hear and A Closet Writer was born!
She would love to connect!
